Biofuels Digest Index rise to 69.39 as chemicals rally

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 0.89 percent to 69.39 as chemicals rallied. For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) jumped 6.01 percent to $3.91, while Algae.Tec rebounded 14.29 percent to $0.06. Among other equities, Codexis (CDXS) surged again, up 5.46 percent to $5.02. Overall, advances led declines by a 3 to 2 ratio for the day.
