Biofuels Digest Index reaches 81.03 as ethanol equities advance

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged up 0.53 percent to 81.03 as ethanol advanced. For the day, Gevo (GEVO) settled back 7.63 percent to $1.09 up 35.63 percent, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) surged 14.83 percent to $8.75. Among other equities, Renewable Energy Group (REGI) was up 5.59 percent to $12.08. Overall, advances led declines 9 to 7 for the day.
