Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 72.60 as ethanol equities advance

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, jumped 1.07 percent to 72.60 as ethanol equities advanced. For the day, Amyris (AMRS) rocketed up 7.55 percent to $3.56, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) surged 3.22 percent to $7.70. Among other equities, OriginOil (OOIL) was up 9.09 percent to $0.24. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
