Biofuels Digest Index gains to 72.28 as advanced biofuels rally

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 1.09 percent to 72.28 as advanced biofuels rallied.  For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) soared 32.75 percent to $12.97 following news of commencing commercial shipments from its Iowa facility, while Aemetis (AMTX) dumped 19.58 percent to $0.22. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) shed 4.08 percent to $4.23. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 2 for the day.
