Biofuels Digest Index gains to 68.17 as chemicals jump

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 1.07 percent to 68.17 as chemicals jumped. For the day, Ceres (CERE) lost 16.33 percent to $2.10, while Metabolix (MBLX) rocketed up 8.59 percent to $0.70. Among other equities, Codexis (CDXS) was up 3.97 percent to $4.98. Overall, advances led declines by a 3 to 1 ratio for the day.
