Biofuels Digest Index falls to 81.81 as ethanal equities dive

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, fell 1.49 percent to 81.82 as ethanol plunged. For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) surged 4.46 percent to $13.58, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) plummeted 15.00 percent to $3.06. Among other equities, KiOR (KIOR) descended 6.96 percent to $1.47. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
