Biofuels Digest Index falls to 71.87 as ethanol equities head down

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, fell 1.75 percent to 71.87 as ethanol equities were down. For the day, Metabolix (MBLX) dumped 16.24 percent to $0.98, while Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) dropped 3.76 percent to $25.86. Among other equities, Biofuel Energy (BIOF) shed 9.64 percent to $5.72. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
