Biofuels Digest Index falls to 70.94 as ethanol equities sag

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, dropped 1.10 percent to 70.94 as ethanol equities sagged. For the day, Ceres (CERE) jumped 12.24 percent to $2.20, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) fell 3.65 percent to $3.96. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) fell 3.20 percent to $2.72. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
