Biofuels Digest Index edges up to 67.45 despite advanced biofuels slump

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged up 0.15 percent to 67.45 as advanced biofuels slumped. For the day, Ceres (CERE) lost 11.97 percent to $2.51 after announcing an 1-8 reverse stock split, while BioAmber (BIOA) jumped 9.08 percent to $10.09. Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) dropped 2.74 percent to $3.20. Overall, advances led declines by a 3 to 2 ratio for the day.
