Biofuels Digest Index edges down to 72.79 as chemicals slip

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged down 0.23 percent to 72.79 as chemicals slipped. For the day, Metabolix (MBLX) traded down 7.89 percent to $1.40, while Codexis (CDXS) slumped 6.99 percent to $1.73. Among other equities, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) gained 2.32 percent to $21.16. Overall, declines led advances 8 to 7 for the day.
