Biofuels Digest Index edge down to 63.21 as chemical equities wane

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged down 0.33 percent to 63.21 as chemical equities waned.  For the day, Evogene (EVGN) dropped 5.00 percent to $9.31, while Metabolix (MBLX) dropped back 7.56 percent to $0.38. Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) gained 3.43 percent to $11.15. Overall, declines led advances 9 to 4 for the day.
