Biofuels Digest Index dumps 2.85 percent to 63.06 as ethanol stocks plunge

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, dumped 2.85 percent to 63.06 as ethanol stocks plunged. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) plummeted 10.38 percent to $11.05, while Green Plains (GPRE) tumbled 8.97 percent to $23.86. Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) was routed 13.51 percent to $0.32. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 1 for the day.
