Biofuels Digest Index drops to 79.50 as renewable chemicals fall

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, dropped back 2.24 percent to 79.50 as renewable chemicals fell. For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) slumped 4.20 percent to $10.95, while Metabolix (MBLX) shed 6.25 percent to $1.20. Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) tumbled 5.39 percent to $14.91. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
