Biofuels Digest Index drops to 77.85 as chemical equities wither

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, dumped 1.89 percent to 77.85 as chemical equities withered. For the day, KiOR (KIOR) soared 22.56 percent to $0.22, while Aemetis (AMTX) dropped 9.95 percent to $4.01. Among other equities, Metabolix (MBLX) plunged 11.22 percent to $0.87. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
