Biofuels Digest Index drops to 74.29 despite ethanol gain

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, fell 0.44 percent to 74.29 despite ethanol gains. For the day, Renewable Energy Group (REGI) tumbled 10.54 percent to $10.53 as the market soured on the LS9 acquisition, while BioAmber (BIOA) soared 18.48 percent to $10.45. Among other equities, Aemetis (AMTX) jumped 35.23 percent to $0.30. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
