Biofuels Digest Index drops to 70.52 as broad global equity indices swwom

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, dropped 2.43 percent to 70.52 as the broad global equity indices all took a drubbing. For the day, Valero (VLO) dropped 4.40 percent to $48.85, while Gevo (GEVO) dumped 5.42 percent to $1.31. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) shed 7.09 percent to $3.93. Overall, declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
