Biofuels Digest Index climbs to 72.44 as advanced biofuels gain

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, climbed 1.80 percent to 72.44 as advanced biofuels gained. For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) jumped 5.35 percent to $10.44, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) rocked up 6.90 percent to $6.82. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) rose 3.03 percent to $5.10. Overall, advances led declines 7 to 3 for the day.
