May 13, 2026 |

In Brazil, Atvos announced the first unit focused on the production of corn ethanol, strengthening its performance in the country’s energy security and expanding its contribution to the supply of renewable energy solutions on a global scale.

The project contemplates the expansion of the Santa Luzia Unit, in Mato Grosso do Sul, with integration between the cane and corn operations, allowing the company to achieve continuous production throughout the year, with better utilization of assets and gain of competitiveness. With the capacity to process 642,000 tons of corn per year, the unit will produce 273,000 cubic meters of ethanol annually, in addition to 183 thousand tons of DDG (co-product of high protein value for animal nutrition) and 13 thousand tons of corn oil.

The initiative reinforces Atvos’ diversification strategy, with corn consolidating as a new growth vector, complementary to sugar cane and integrated into other routes such as biomethane, increasing operational efficiency.
