Alcoholes del Uruguay launches early sweet sorghum harvest

In Uruguay, Alcoholes del Uruguay has begun its sweet sorghum harvest for ethanol production two weeks ahead of its traditional sugarcane harvest set to begin mid-May. The company operates a distillery based in Bella Union that produces 26 million liters per year.
