AE Biofuels restarts production in California

In California, AE Biofuels wholly owned subsidiary AE Advanced Fuels Keyes has restarted operation at their 55 MGy facilities in Keyes, with about 50 full time employees.  Reportedly, the facility has a positive energy balance of 2.6:1, and a nearly zero water discharge.  The plant has a natural gas and steam powered turbine cogeneration unit supplying all of the plants electrical needs, eliminating dependence on the state’s electrical grid.
