Repsol supplies co-processed B30 marine fuel to Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in Barcelona
In Spain, the Manifold Times newspaper reports Repsol has delivered B30 co-processed marine gasoil, containing renewable and conventional feedstocks, to Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) vessels at the Port of Barcelona. The deliveries are part of an eight-year, multi-energy agreement to supply lower-carbon marine fuels to NCLH’s cruise brands. Repsol’s bunker vessel Bahía Candela used its onboard battery system during fuel transfer, allowing the operation to proceed without running auxiliary engines and reducing direct emissions during bunkering. The agreement also provides for renewable methanol supply beginning in 2029, supporting NCLH’s longer-term marine-fuel transition.
