New yacht features goes biobased below deck
In the United Arab Emirates, Nomad Yachts has launched a new luxury megayacht that features biobased elements in its interior. The 30.34-meter, five-stateroom Nomad 101 features flax, hemp, bamboo, and reclaimed wood for decorative elements and furnishes below deck, thanks to interior design by Dutch firm Phathom Studio. Megayacht News also flagged features that include carpeting made from recycled fishing nets, biobased lacquer, and vegan leather, and composite stone surfaces.
“The design throughout the interior—accommodating a party of 10—is soft and subdued,” the review states. “Tactile elements add visual interest and let guests know the design isn’t too precious.”
