Symrise boosts natural fragrance cred with Floral Concept deal
In Germany, Symrise has completed the acquisition of Floral Concept in a deal that strengthens Symrise’s position in Premium Naturals fragrances. Founded in 2002, Floral Concept develops and supplies premium natural fragrance ingredients for fine fragrances, including extracts from jasmine, rose, orange blossom, ambrette and blackcurrant. It is based in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne in the Pays de Grasse region.
The deal was first announced in July. “This milestone strengthens our Premium Naturals platform and adds exceptional sourcing relationships, natural raw material expertise and transformation capabilities to our Fragrance business. Together, we will offer customers an even richer palette while preserving Floral Concept’s authenticity and entrepreneurial spirit,” Michael Friede, president of Symrise’s Scent & Care segment, said in a press statement. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
