Brazilian farmers harvested 94.1% of the 2025/26 winter corn area, Conab says
In Brazil, UOL reported that the harvest of the 2025/26 second corn crop in Brazil reached 94.1% of the planted area by August 28, an advance of 3.7 percentage points compared to the previous week.
Compared to the same period of the 2024/25 crop, when 97% had been harvested, there is a delay of 2.9 percentage points. Compared to the average of the last five years, of 94.4%, there is a slight delay of 0.3 percentage points. The information comes from the National Supply Company (Conab), in its weekly crop progress bulletin.
Among the producing states, Piauí, Tocantins, Maranhão and Mato Grosso have already finished fieldwork. Goiás has harvested 99% of the area; Mato Grosso do Sul, 88%; Paraná, 83%; São Paulo, 82%, and Minas Gerais, 81%
