Ethanol production and stocks both higher
In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production averaged 1.112 million barrels per day, up 23,000 barrels from the previous week and 42,000 from a year earlier, supporting domestic corn demand. Ethanol stocks rose to 25.206 million barrels, their highest level since early May, increasing 85,000 barrels week over week and 2.657 million barrels year over year. Iowa ethanol margins remained firmly positive despite a slight tightening. Ethanol exports climbed to 162,000 barrels per day, up 33,000 weekly and 41,000 annually, while gasoline demand also strengthened.
