Döhler invests in natural ingredients and colors capacity in Mexico

August 24, 2026 |

In Mexico, Döhler has opened a MXN 1.2 billion (US$64 million) production facility in San Francisco Soyaniquilpan de Juárez to manufacture natural ingredients and integrated solutions for the food, beverage, life sciences and nutrition sectors.

The plant will produce higher-value natural ingredients, including flavors and ingredient systems, for international markets. According to Mexico Business News, output will primarily serve customers in the United States, Germany, Central America, the Caribbean and Asia.

Germany-based Döhler has also planned a second phase at the site focused on natural colors, positioning the facility to capitalize on growing demand for alternatives to synthetic ingredients. The expansion comes as regulatory requirements around nutritional profiles and ingredient transparency tighten across the Americas.
