Megchem awarded Phelan Green e-SAF project contract
In South Africa, Megchem reported that the firm has been awarded the contract to deliver the Basic Engineering Design (BED) package for the Balance of Plant (BOP), site-wide infrastructure, and overall plant integration services for the Phelan Green Electro-Sustainable Aviation Fuel (e-SAF) Project near Hopefield in the Western Cape, South Africa.
The Phelan Green project represents a significant milestone in the advancement of sustainable aviation fuel production in South Africa, the company said.
“We are honored to be part of the Phelan Green e-SAF Project, which has the potential to position South Africa as a significant participant in the emerging sustainable aviation fuel industry,” said Raymond Johnstone, lead project manager.
