In China, China Marine Bunker and Hengxing Shipping Group have put China Fuel Green Energy 85, Ningbo’s newly built dedicated methanol bunkering vessel into service at Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, capable of all-weather ship-to-ship fueling.

The bunker vessel, which cost more than $14.8 million, is an IMO Type II chemical tanker with capacity for 10,850 cubic meters of methanol in corrosion-resistant duplex stainless-steel tanks. Ningbo authorities said the vessel’s key service is to ensure the replenishment demand of methanol powered ships in Ningbo Port.
