Atlas Air outlines sustainability gains as SAF usage reaches 3.3 million gallons
In the UK, Aviation Business News reported that Atlas Air Worldwide (Atlas) has reported a ten-fold increase in sustainable aviation fuel usage during 2025, as the cargo airline outlined progress against its environmental, social and governance objectives in its latest sustainability report.
The company’s seventh Sustainability Report revealed that SAF consumption reached 3.3 million gallons during the year, with around two-thirds purchased voluntarily by Atlas and its customers, according to the report.
The company also reaffirmed its target to reduce Scope 1 emissions by 20% by 2035 against a 2021 baseline, while continuing to advocate for wider SAF adoption and reforms to FAA mental health reporting requirements.
