Brazil harvested 28.5% of the planted area of ​​winter corn, Conab says

In Brazil, UOL reported that the winter corn harvest in the country reached 28.5% of the planted area in the 2025/26 crop as of July 4, an advance of 9.7 percentage points compared to the previous week, reported the National Supply Company (Conab) in its weekly crop progress bulletin. 

Compared to the same point in the previous crop, when 27.7% had been harvested, the work is now 0.8 percentage points ahead. Regarding the average of the last five years, of 35.4%, the harvest remains behind schedule. 

Among the producing states, Mato Grosso is leading the harvest, with 51.1% harvested, followed by Maranhão, with 50%, and Tocantins, with 40%.

The 2025/26 summer corn harvest, in turn, is nearing completion, with 96.3% of the area harvested as of last Saturday, according to Conab, according to the report.
