Indian Prime Minister likely to flag off India’s first hydrogen train on July 17
In India, Deccan Herald reported that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to flag off the country’s first hydrogen train from Jind railway station in Haryana on July 17.
The train, equipped with two driving power cars (DPCs) and eight passenger coaches, has successfully completed extensive trials over the past two-and-a-half months. It was tested at speeds ranging from 75 kmph to 120 kmph on the Sonipat-Jind-New Delhi route, according to the report.
The train uses hydrogen fuel cells that convert hydrogen into electricity, emitting only water vapor as a byproduct, it added.
