Azane keeps three Norwegian ammonia terminals on track for 2029

June 23, 2026 |

In Norway, Azane Infrastructure said it is continuing all three Enova-supported ammonia bunkering projects in Florø, Stavanger and Mongstad, with the terminals targeted to begin operating by 2029.

The projects are intended to form the first stage of an ammonia-fueling network along the Norwegian coast and support vessels designed to use ammonia instead of conventional marine fuels.

Azane secured NOK 442 million in Enova funding for the terminals in January. Azane said it remains committed to delivering the three projects under the agreed schedule as demand for ammonia as a marine fuel develops.
