Argentina accounted for 43% of Paraguayan exports in the first five months of the year
In Paraguay, Market Data reported that Paraguayan exports to Argentina reached $2.32 billion between January and May 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 51.1% and consolidating the neighboring country as the main destination for Paraguayan products. Argentina accounted for 43.2% of Paraguay’s total exports during this period.
The strong growth was driven primarily by soybean shipments, which accounted for 75.5% of exports to that market. Soybean sales increased from $1.17 billion to $1.75 billion, representing a 49.4% expansion compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the report.
