Lower grain harvest expected in the EU in the 2026/27 season
In Ukraine, AgroNews reported that experts from the European Commission have revised down the forecast for soft wheat production in the EU in the 2026/27 marketing year from 127.3 to 126.9 million tons compared to the April estimates, which will be lower than the 135 million tons harvested in the previous season.
At the same time, the wheat export forecast remains unchanged from the previous month at 29.65 million tons, according to the report.
The forecast for corn production has also been reduced from 61.2 to 60.35 million tons, and for barley from 52.9 to 51.75 million tons, the report added.
