57% of U.S. corn, 58% of soybeans good to excellent, USDA says
In Missouri, Brownfield reported that the USDA said that 18% of U.S. corn is harvested, matching the five-year average, but at the low end of expectations, with 96% of the crop dented and 72% mature, as the national crop rating held at 57% good to excellent.
The report stated that 17% of soybeans are harvested, also in-line with most recent years but at the low end of expectations, with 75% dropping leaves and the national crop rating steady at 58% good to excellent.
Also, 27% of sorghum is in good to excellent condition, down 1%, with 93% coloring, 67% mature, and 29% harvested, according to the report.
