2025/26 winter corn harvest reaches 11% of the area in Brazil, Conab says

In Brazil, UOL reported that the harvest of the 2025/26 winter corn crop in Brazil reached 11% of the planted area by June 20, an advance of 4.3 percentage points compared to the previous week. 

Compared to the same point in the previous harvest, when 10.3% had been harvested, there is a slight advance of 0.7 percentage points, However, compared to the average of the last five years, of 15%, the work is behind schedule. 

This information is from the Crop Progress Bulletin of the National Supply Company (Conab). Among the producing states, Mato Grosso has the highest percentage of harvested area, with 20.7%, followed by Tocantins, with 15%, Piauí, with 12%, and Maranhão, with 10%, according to the report.

Paraná, another major producer of winter corn, has harvested only 1% of the area so far, it added.
