$10.2B in greentech M&A and capital raises for 2010 YTD

Peachtree Media Advisors released its latest 2010 report, and reported that in the first eight months of 2010, there were 206 greentech mergers, acquisitions, and capital raises totaling $10.2 billion in reported deal value. While the 206 transactions were only slightly more than the 183 recorded during the same period in 2009, deal value grew 73% over the 2009 figure of $5.9 billion.  The increased dealmaking signals that capital is steadily flowing into the greentech sector again, as well as debt, but biofuels as a sector was down 30 percent year on year.
