YPF and Essential Energy signs agreement

In Argentina, YPF S.A. and ESSENTIAL ENERGY S.A. signed a memorandum of understanding to evaluate the feasibility of developing a biorefinery in the province of Santa Fe. This project seeks to reuse the facilities of YPF’s non-operational refinery in the town of San Lorenzo, promoting the sustainable production of fuels.

With a presence in the national and international market, ESSENTIAL ENERGY’s experience supports this innovative initiative. This strategic alliance is part of the ongoing process of reviewing YPF’s portfolio, promoted in its 4×4 Plan and implemented in 2024, which prioritizes sustainability, profitability and value creation.
