In Ukraine, Ukraine Business News reported that Austrian energy firm Wien Energie, alongside Ukrainian UDP Renewables, aims to develop an industrial green cluster in Volyn including a hydrogen production facility. The GREENWEST PtX project, which aims to generate green hydrogen from renewable sources in the Volyn region, includes plans for exporting products to the EU, according to the report. Investment company UDP Renewables forecasts a rising demand for hydrogen, in light of the EU’s strategy to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, the report added.
