VTTI and Connex’s Greenstock Pretreatment Facility enters into FEED phase

In the Netherlands, VTTI and Connex, partners in the development of Greenstock Pretreatment Facility (GPF) at VTTI’s terminal in Amsterdam (ETA), have announced that the project has entered the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) Phase. This milestone marks a significant step toward the facility’s planned operational launch in 2029, reinforcing both companies shared commitment to accelerating the energy transition.

Once complete, Greenstock Pretreatment Facility will be capable of processing over 400,000 tons of renewable feedstocks annually, enabling the production of sustainable fuels, including renewable diesel (HVO) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from both standalone and coprocessing units. The facility will provide customers in Europe with comprehensive aggregation, blending and pretreatment capabilities for waste and residue-based feedstocks, including animal fats category 1, 2 and 3, used cooking oil and advanced oils and fats.
