In the UK, the Business Desk reports that Vivergo has notified its wheat suppliers about the risks of shutting down in response to the US-UK trade deal recently agreed to by the primer minister and President Trump. The company plans to already wind back purchases to meet only its contractual obligations in the face of the removal of the current 19% tariff on ethanol imports that it says, together with other existing regulatory failures, will make the business unviable.
