In Vietnam, Reuters reports that in a major win for US ethanol industry, the Asian country has decided to mandate 10% ethanol blended fuel at the pump. The move is an effort to close it’s significant trade gap with the US, which could lead to 800,000 cubic meters of ethanol imports to supply what its domestic ethanol production can not for a 10% blend. Currently the country produces about 40% of that would-be demand with 600,000 m3 installed capacity.
