November 18, 2025 |

In Thailand, Headline reported that Vietjet Thailand (VZ), in collaboration with PTT Oil and Retail Business Plc (OR), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on SAF collaboration.

The agreement reinforces Vietjet Thailand’s position as the first low-cost carrier in the region to pioneer the use of SAF on commercial flights, according to the report.

The collaboration also extends the airline’s core mission under its Fly Green Fund, with plans to launch additional “Green Routes” within the first quarter of 2026 namely, the ‘Bangkok–Cam Ranh’ route and further expanding the use of SAF for all flights on the ‘Bangkok–Da Nang’ route, the report added.

Under this collaboration, OR will provide sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for Thai Vietjet’s commercial flights on a continual basis. Most recently, the airline has expanded its use of SAF to regular flights between Suvarnabhumi and Phu Quoc.
