In Brazil, Vast Infrastructure and OceanPact carried out in the TLA a supply operation with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO). The initiative is part of the partnership signed in May between companies to promote the use of biofuels in the Port of Açu.
The agreement provides for the realization of supply operations with HVO of OceanPact vessels operating in Vast’s service at T-Oil to test the feasibility of using biofuel. Supply operations will take place in the TLA and studies will assess the impact of partial or total replacement of fossil fuels by biofuels and calculate avoided emissions.
The signed agreement reinforces Vast and TLA’s strategic position in the decarbonization of the maritime sector.
