Uzbekistan rolls out $933 million waste-to-energy program

In Uzbekistan, Trend reported that projects worth $933 million aimed at generating electricity from municipal solid waste have been launched across six regions of Uzbekistan.

The projects have been initiated in the Andijan, Namangan, Fergana, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, and Tashkent regions, according to the report.

At the same time, work to provide investors with the necessary infrastructure, roads, electricity, and water supply is not being organized at the required level in the regions where the projects have already started, the report added.
