December 8, 2024 |

In Missouri, Brownfield reported that the amount of corn used for ethanol production during October 2024 was slightly less than October 2023, according to the USDA.

The USDA stated that 460.493 million bushels of corn were used for ethanol production, up 3% on the month and down only slightly on the year, partially due to the estimated operating margins falling below year ago levels.

The USDA also reported that October was another strong month for the domestic soybean crush.

A total of 216 million bushels of beans were crushed during October, a new record for the month, up 29 million from September and 15 million from October 2023, according to the report.
