In Brazil, Reuters reported that The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) maintained its corn and soybean crop forecasts for Brazil and Argentina in its monthly supply and demand report.
According to the USDA, Brazil’s 2024/25 soybean harvest, which is currently underway, was estimated at 169 million tons. Argentina’s crop was forecast at 49 million tons.
Meanwhile, Brazil’s total corn production in 2024/25 was projected at 126 million tons, flat compared to the February forecast, while Argentina’s was forecast at 50 million tons, according to the report.
