In Nebraska, Progressive Farmer reported that the USDA forecasted a 15.8-billion-bushel corn crop and a 4.34 bushel soybean crop for the 2025-26 marketing year.
USDA estimated that the global wheat production for 2025-26 at 1.921 billion bushels, an increase from last May’s estimate of 1.858 bb.
These forecasts were released as part of USDA’s latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) and Crop Production reports.
Globally, USDA projects beginning stocks for the 2025-26 corn crop at 287.29 million metric tons. Production is forecast at 1,264.98 million metric tons. Exports globally are projected at 195.81 million metric tons.
