USDA estimates soybean harvest in Argentina at 47.5 million tons in 2025/26

In Brazil, Safras & Mercado reported that according to an addendum from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Argentina’s soybean production is estimated at 47.5 million tons in 2025/26, down from 50.5 million tons in the previous season.

 The total planted area is estimated at 16.5 million hectares in 2025/26, compared to 17.5 million hectares in 2024/25.

The country’s soybean imports are projected to decrease from 7.4 million tons in 2024/25 to 7.2 million tons in 2025/26. Ending stocks are expected to fall from 3.35 million tons to 3.05 million tons in 2025/26, according to the report.
