Uniboard’s MDF receives USDA Certified Biopreferred product certification

February 23, 2025 |

In Iowa, Woodworking Network reported that Uniboard Canada has earned the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Certified Biobased Product Label for Uniboard Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), as well as its Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) and Particleboard.

The company said this is the first North American manufacturer of decorative surfaces to obtain such certification.

Uniboard said its certified products contain a high percentage of renewable, biobased materials, contributing to a more sustainable industry while maintaining the superior performance that designers, manufacturers, and distributors expect.

The USDA Certified Biobased Product Label provides third-party verification of a product’s renewable content, ensuring greater transparency and trust in the marketplace.
